Received this as a gift, it has cleaning and care instructions, but no instructions for making coffee. Will have to just go with trial and error until I figure out the correct amounts to use.

The general rule of thumb for any-sized coffee press is to add 3 tablespoons of coffee for every 1 cup of water. The capacity for this mug is 1.5 cups, so I would suggest adding 4.5 tablespoons of coffee. You can also add more or less depending on how strong you like your coffee.
