DC Thomson Consumer Products (DCTCP) has an opportunity for a 2nd/ 3rd line support engineer to join our friendly and hardworking IT team at our offices in central Bath.
DCTCP is a global business that creates and distributes books, stationery, gifts and toys. DCTCP operates through two main businesses; Parragon, creating children’s books and gifts with bestselling brands such as Disney and Marvel, and Wild & Wolf, creating design led gifts, collaborating with brands, artists and designers such as Orla Kiely, Happy Jackson and Ted Baker.
The successful candidate will work across both businesses in the group to provide and support IT systems and infrastructure. With at least 2 years in a first line support role, you should have proven experience of the following:
Installing and troubleshooting client and server operating systems - Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac OS’s to Sierra
Management and maintenance of:
AD, DHCP, DNS
Exchange 2010, SQL Server admin
VMWare ESXi hosts and VM’s
AWS, Azure cloud services
Office 365 administration, ADSync
Mimecast email boundary scanning service
Backups with Veeam backup software
Administering firewalls, Cisco ASA; Fortigate
Liaising with support consultants for IT hardware and services
To be successful in this role, you will be customer focused, approachable and able to build strong working relationships across the business. You will be a flexible and positive team player, demonstrated through your can-do attitude.
The role may require out of hours or weekend work for essential maintenance and travel may be required to other offices worldwide.

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to join our friendly and experienced Compliance Team in Bath. This varied role involves assisting with international consumer product quality assurance, working on internal databases and liaising with our creative, production and sales offices and warehouses.
The successful candidate will support and assist the Compliance Team by actioning thorough QA reviews into every stage of the critical path to ensure QA is considered/ involved throughout. The role’s key focus is to ensure all our products are developed and labelled to meet the agreed quality, functionality and safety expectations, whilst meeting creative’s goals.
This role will involve:
Liaising with Hong Kong QA team to ensure they have all the information and samples needed to support their inspection forms/criteria that is needed to conduct effective QA/ QC.
Implementing a procedure for managing QA issues quickly throughout the Group which includes identifying, investigating, escalating, communicating, tracking, reviewing and achieving effective conclusions with advice going back into future orders and ensuring quarantined stock is carefully managed.
Developing relationships with customer services and help to create clear, relevant and useful reviews of the data and feed the information back into the creative and sales teams to guide improvements on future products and supplier review meetings.
In order to be successful you will need to be extremely organised, have excellent attention to detail, be uncompromising when it comes to quality and maintain a consistent professional approach to tasks but have a flexible attitude to help prioritise critical tasks. You must be an approachable and confident communicator and proactive decision maker, able to liaise effectively with people at all levels of the company. Common sense and forward planning are important to this role, along with the ability to analyse and interpret information in a variety of formats.
A related degree and experience in Quality Assurance of consumer products is advantageous, however our priority is appointing someone with experience of QA Auditing eager to branch into an interesting and dynamic field of work. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint is essential and a full clean driving license and your own transport is a must in order to visit warehouses regularly.

The Category Manager is responsible for growing their relevant category profitably through compelling brand and product development and sound commercial management.
Day to day, the Category Manager leads and inspires their team to develop original and beautifully designed products that meet both the Wild and Wolf and brand objectives within budget and in line with the seasonal selling calendar.
What you’ll need to do as a Wild & Wolf Category Manager:
Work with Creative Director and Global Brand Director to set overall strategic vision for the category that will meet revenue targets and meet business goals.
Keep up to date with the market for your category and stay abreast of current trends, competitor products, formats and pricing, and anticipate opportunities for new products.
Attend regular comp shops and tradeshow visits to maintain and develop market insight and advantage.
Understand category spend, contracts and suppliers, ensuring effective supplier and contract management to drive benefit and ensure that we are complying with all appropriate legal and regulatory requirements.
Meet the product development requirements of licences within your category to ensure licensor sales targets can be met
Utilise, interpret and develop the creative brief and ensure the PD team produce clear product development and sourcing briefs.
Develop your team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience and exhibit the appropriate behaviours to excel in their roles and grow for future roles.
What we are looking for in our ideal Category Manager:
5 Years management experience in a Brand / Category / Product role
Experience of working within a design environment
Experience in leading a team and a track record of product or brand development
Be able to analyse data, and make predications and decisions
Experience with consumer goods or retail sectors
Keen eye for detail
Present ideas confidently to a senior level
