    We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to join our friendly and experienced Compliance Team in Bath. This varied role involves assisting with international consumer product quality assurance, working on internal databases and liaising with our creative, production and sales offices and warehouses.

    The successful candidate will support and assist the Compliance Team by actioning thorough QA reviews into every stage of the critical path to ensure QA is considered/ involved throughout. The role’s key focus is to ensure all our products are developed and labelled to meet the agreed quality, functionality and safety expectations, whilst meeting creative’s goals.

    This role will involve:

    Liaising with Hong Kong QA team to ensure they have all the information and samples needed to support their inspection forms/criteria that is needed to conduct effective QA/ QC.

    Implementing a procedure for managing QA issues quickly throughout the Group which includes identifying, investigating, escalating, communicating, tracking, reviewing and achieving effective conclusions with advice going back into future orders and ensuring quarantined stock is carefully managed.

    Developing relationships with customer services and help to create clear, relevant and useful reviews of the data and feed the information back into the creative and sales teams to guide improvements on future products and supplier review meetings.

    In order to be successful you will need to be extremely organised, have excellent attention to detail, be uncompromising when it comes to quality and maintain a consistent professional approach to tasks but have a flexible attitude to help prioritise critical tasks. You must be an approachable and confident communicator and proactive decision maker, able to liaise effectively with people at all levels of the company. Common sense and forward planning are important to this role, along with the ability to analyse and interpret information in a variety of formats.

    A related degree and experience in Quality Assurance of consumer products is advantageous, however our priority is appointing someone with experience of QA Auditing eager to branch into an interesting and dynamic field of work. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint is essential and a full clean driving license and your own transport is a must in order to visit warehouses regularly.

    We currently have an opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join us on a 9 month fixed term contract based at our head office in Bath. In this busy and varied role you will support the Chief Operating Officer of DC Thomson Consumer Products and the Commercial Director of Wild and Wolf.

    DC Thomson Consumer Products is a global business that creates and distributes consumer products for children and adults in the categories of books, stationery, gifts and toys. DC Thomson Consumer Products operates through two main businesses Parragon (creating children’s books and gifts with bestselling brands such as Disney and Marvel) and Wild & Wolf (creating design led gifts, collaborating with brands, artists and designers such as Orla Kiely, Happy Jackson and Ted Baker).

    The successful candidate will:

    Provide high quality administrative and organisational support to the COO and the Commercial Director
    Provide effective management of the electronic diary, assessing priority of appointments and reallocation, as necessary
    Provide support for an extensive range of meetings.  This will include preparing agendas, pre-meeting briefings, taking minutes and noting action points and following them up
    Word processing correspondence, memos and reports from written copy and preparing presentations
    Acting as a key liaison point between the COO, Commercial Director and other key parties, setting up meetings as appropriate and maintaining good communications
    Managing travel arrangements, booking accommodation and processing claims for expenses
    Assist with the coordination of projects and events throughout the business
    Provide reception duties to any external visiting parties, as needed

    You will need to:
    Be proficient in Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint and Excel
    Able to demonstrate fantastic organisation and forward planning skills. You will need to be happy to support planning / execution of Trade Fairs / Sales Meetings etc
    Be numerate and confident in developing reports to measure sales team performance
    Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, willing to go the extra mile when required
    Be a self starter, able to create your own workload with direction
    Be a confident communicator as you will deal directly with customers, buyers and senior management
    Experience in a similar role is essential

    The Category Manager is responsible for growing their relevant category profitably through compelling brand and product development and sound commercial management. 

    Day to day, the Category Manager leads and inspires their team to develop original and beautifully designed products that meet both the Wild and Wolf and brand objectives within budget and in line with the seasonal selling calendar.     

    What you’ll need to do as a Wild & Wolf Category Manager: 

    Work with Creative Director and Global Brand Director to set overall strategic vision for the category that will meet revenue targets and meet business goals.

    Keep up to date with the market for your category and stay abreast of current trends, competitor products, formats and pricing, and anticipate opportunities for new products.

    Attend regular comp shops and tradeshow visits to maintain and develop market insight and advantage.

    Understand category spend, contracts and suppliers, ensuring effective supplier and contract management to drive benefit and ensure that we are complying with all appropriate legal and regulatory requirements.

    Meet the product development requirements of licences within your category to ensure licensor sales targets can be met

    Utilise, interpret and develop the creative brief and ensure the PD team produce clear product development and sourcing briefs.

    Develop your team to ensure they have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience and exhibit the appropriate behaviours to excel in their roles and grow for future roles.

    What we are looking for in our ideal Category Manager:

    5 Years management experience in a Brand / Category / Product role

    Experience of working within a design environment

    Experience in leading a team and a track record of product or brand development

    Be able to analyse data, and make predications and decisions

    Experience with consumer goods or retail sectors

    Keen eye for detail

    Present ideas confidently to a senior level

    We have fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Brand Creative Designer to be part of our Brand Communications team at Wild & Wolf, based in our headquarters in Bath.

    Wild & Wolf is a British, design led gift company, specialising in a varied range of licensed and in-house designed gift collections operating across the UK, USA and Hong Kong. We have collaborated with some amazing brands, artists and designers – from the likes of BBC, Orla Keily, Happy Jackson and Ted Baker and have extended our customer base both throughout the UK and globally.

    Ideally you will have a qualification in design and be mid-level, with a minimum of 2-3 years proven industry experience in design for a company and must be able to show a successful track record of this within your CV and portfolio. Design experience for brands from either an advertising agency, digital agency, broadcast channel, design company or similar would be beneficial.

    A high level of skill within In-Design, Illustrator and Microsoft Office programmes is essential, combined with good skills and experience in Photoshop and Typography design. You should be able to demonstrate experience in designing for both print and digital, as well as designing email campaigns through a known marketing email tool and for websites.

    You will be responsible for ensuring creative work is ‘on brand’, developing and exploring fresh design ideas in support of the Wild and Wolf brand, own brand IP and occasionally licensed brands. This will be helping to invent our future brand communication across both UK and global markets. You will use your experience to design collateral to support a range of disciplines including brand strategy, brand identity, marketing, communications and digital.

    Championing creative excellence

    The role requires someone who is hardworking and flexible and is able to take an objective outlook. You must be able to work under pressure and have strong time management and accuracy skills.  Experience within a team is essential as well as being a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude, as you will be expected to work closely with designers and design managers and form a strong relationship with the Senior Designer and Brand Manager.

    In this role you will use your experience to design and deliver exciting Wild & Wolf marketing collateral, both print based and online. You will find yourself responsible for a range of live projects - from concept to production - working closely with the Brand Team or licensors. You will become a “custodian” for all our own brands and licensed brands whilst saying “on brand” to grow these licenses. We want you to bring in new ideas, concepts, formats and trends!

    Other duties and responsibilities include trend research, collaboration with design manager and designers, co-ordination of marketing design work, mentoring junior designers and leading certain design projects where asked.

    We are looking for a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in design and ideally you will have a design qualification and experience of designing for a marketing team or agency before. A good level of Photoshop and typography experience, a high level of InDesign skills, and experience of designing for both print and digital whilst adhering to brand guidelines are essential to this role.  Experience in designing email campaigns is also vital, along with being a creative thinker, a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude.

    Want to become a part of Wild and Wolf’s exciting journey? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Assistant to join our small, friendly Finance team! This will be a full time, permanent position based at our headquarters in Bath.

    In this role, you will provide support to the Wild & Wolf Finance Manager in closing the period-end accounts, preparing monthly reporting and ensuring appropriate controls and reconciliations are completed on a timely basis.

    Other accountabilities consist of:

    Preparing for closing the accounts of each entity ahead of each period-end close.

    Supporting the preparation of period-end reporting packs, monthly VAT returns and collating data for annual tax returns.

    Maintaining a record of all license royalty agreements, producing and distribute quarterly royalty reports and prepare documentation for any licensor audits.

    Cash management and reconciling of bank accounts and petty cash.

    Purchase ledger and expenses.

    We are looking for someone who has previous experience in Finance, particularly with reconciliations, posting journals, determining accruals and producing reports. Ideally you will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and it would also be desirable if you are working towards, or qualified in, CIMA. Budgeting experience and knowledge of Sage 200 would also be highly beneficial.
